3 Main Ideas:
1. CAPITOL HILL DEVELOPMENT MAP
Client: Seattle Times, Public Hearing Boards, Commercial Developers, Government Agencies
Destination: Web, Mobile
To inform citizens of Seattle what development projects are going on in Seattle’s Capitol Hill; Seattle’s fastest growing neighborhood. There is a lot of information available about the projects but no cohesive element available which presents this information in a clear comprehensive way.
I could take the list above and illustrate a map of all these projects that showed (visually) where these projects are.
Manny says: “Good idea, especially for someone like me moving to Seattle soon.”
2. DOWNTOWN SHOPPING GUIDE
Client: Retail Stores, Seattle Tourism Board
Destination: Print (brochures), Web (Seattle.gov/visiting), Mobile,
Downtown Seattle is like one giant mall….but not really. The stores are scattered throughout downtown and not collectively overseen by one governing body that would ordinarily make this sort of info graphic map. Therefore, I propose a map similar to the “Development Map” from above, only with a comprehensive guide to the retailers in Downtown Seattle which could especially be helpful to someone who is only visiting the area.
3. POLITICAL CANDIDATE PROPONENT/OPPONENT INFROGRAPHIC
Clients: News Outlets, Activist Groups, Political Affiliates, Editorials
i think people have a desire to be politically informed and with today’s barrage of information its sometimes hard to remember who did what and who supports what. This info graphic would illustrate a predominant political official and all of their political alignments.
